BA-LEE

Thursday, August 4th, 2011

I’ve been on Bali for the last week for the 6th year in a row. I love Indonesia, people are friendly and you can live like a rockstar for a fraction of the price!

The wind and waves have been pumping! This past week was probably one of the windiest weeks that I have ever seen here. Normally Bali is a rather light wind destination and I usually just stay here passing through to other parts of Indonesia that usually have a better chance of strong wind, but this year, the wind has been on! 15-20knts every day and overhead surf.

Keahi joined me a few days after I got here for the start of a new swell and both of us have been working with photographer Jason Wolcott. Jason is from California, but has been living in Bali for the past 3 years. He is a very talented photographer; if you have a moment, definitely check out his work on his website http://www.jasonwolcottphotography.com/

We’ve been filming for a “Sessions” episode, (renamed from “Visions”) as well.. Here are a few screen shots from the past week
