Activities:
Our guides will check weather and ocean conditions daily to ensure that we are maximizing the most of what Maui has to offer. With up to 300 days a year with Tradewinds, everything you could want is right out front of the property. There’s an outer reef that also offers some world class wave riding. It really is a dream destination for every level of kiting and foiling.

(Tow) Foiling & Winging
By far the most common question – “Can I wing-foil” The answer is simple – “Absolutely” and we make it a point to make the most of all the conditions. In the unlikely event that the wind is light, tow foiling is offered for the more experienced foilers as well as beginner lessons for the new comers to the sport. We offer foil lessons where our instructors will take 2 guests at a time on the jetski to learn the techniques they need to progress to either paddle foiling, wing foiling, kite foiling or SUP foiling.
Downwinders

For the more advanced kiteboarders, wingers and SUP foil/parawingers – Downwinders a big part of what makes Maui special. When the conditions provide guided downwinders can be organized from a designated start points and finished on property – No extra shuttling needed!
This is included for all #TradewindAdventure guests to schedule as they like throughout the week.

FAQs:
Do I need travel insurance?
HIGHLY RECOMMENDED! Even though we are only a 15 minute drive to the hospital we advise having a plan that covers medical emergencies and transport, trip cancellation, travel changes, loss of property and luggage. We recommend a comprehensive cover to ensure you’re protected.
Do I need to kitesurf, foil board/wing to attend?
No you do not.. we offer a discounted rate for non water sport attendees. We can also assist in curating other activities on Maui during your stay at an added charge. Maui offers world class hiking, diving, and a host of other adventures.

Do you need a wetsuit?
Not typically, but if you get cold easily we recommend bringing wetsuit top or a spring suit. Normally a 1-2mm top will keep you warm for the early morning surfs/kites and a spring suit will keep you warm if your an individual that gets cold easily.

We can facilitate organizing beginner lessons for you. (lessons will need to be paid for directly with the school.)
What are the waves like?
April usually has fun sized waves. It’s rare but not unheard of to have 15 foot surf, but generally it’s more in the 4 to 8 foot range. There are a selection of breaks right out front depending on size and conditions. Our guides will take you to whatever break is best. If the waves are too big for your level, there is a lagoon where the waves don’t break.
What should I pack?
Boardshorts, Bikinis, Beach Towels and Sunscreen! As well as anything else that you think you would like for a week on the beach. The evenings can get a little chilly, but a simple sweatshirt should keep you warm.
